What kind of material?
What type of material would be best for carving a diorama? The diorama is Games Workshop's miniatures Lord of the Rings and 8x22x4. It should be lightweight and easy to carve-power with a weak resistance (while the size that has its structure). I intend first airbrush, artificial grass surface and apply small landscapes and other things that give a great finish. I went to Michael Arts and Crafts home, but could not find suitable material, plus I have not done this before so I really do not know where to begin. So what material would you recommend and what tools can be recommended for carving? Note: These models are approximately 75% of the thumb of an adult man and there are about 25 of them in the diorama. Thank you in advance!
Modeling clay. Want to do more refined, blocks pop-of use (you have to drive them yourself.)
