Core Information
The Vostro 1400 sports two digital microphones which could be found in the top trim of the screen, on both the left and right side of the webcam. Both microphones capture audio very well. The speakers are placed above the keyboard on either side. Though being small, the speakers do an average job while on its maximum volume. The quality of the speakers is just average.
Dell's new Dell XPS M-1530 laptop is powered by 1.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5450 with 2-MB L2 Cache, 677 MHz FSB featuring Mobile Intel 965GM Express Santa Rosa chipset motherboard, 2-GB DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM (max 4-GB in 2 slots), 160-GB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive and a 8X DVD Super Multi Double layer (8.5 GB) DVD Writer.
Dell XPS M1530 laptop comes with powerful Intel Core2 Duo T8300 processor that delivers impressive performance to cater ever-increasing need of your business or entertainment. It provides flexible security option to prevent unauthorized access to your data or files. The keyboard is easy to function and keys have a nice matte texture with proper spacing between each key.
The Dell XPS M1530, for example, is a fine one. At 5.7 pounds, it's no Mac Air, but it doesn't compromise of features. It's got an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 graphics and 128mb of video memory, more than what you need for YouTube and just enough for the artist's image tweaking and high resolution DVD playback. It's 4 GB of memory is certainly more than what most of the current no compromise notebooks offer.
Some previous laptops were unable to run all applications but with the XPS M1530, no problem. And if watching DVD's is your thing, then you will have stunning graphics and display using a 1440x900 resolution which is higher than the normal 1280x800 for a 15.4-inch panel. Just one thing which I believe needs to be pointed out is that the resolution being 1440x900 does cause a slight glare on the screen when in use outside.
Dell XPS notebooks are Dell's foray into meeting the needs requirements of their computer gaming market. These are an extension of the original XPS line of desktops that were originally offered to the market, obviously offering an edge in terms of mobility. The XPS line was designed to be the high-end gaming offering of Dell, with "XPS" literally referring to "Extreme Performance System".
