Clear Lens
You probably remember your mother telling you to take your vitamins or chewing carrots for healthy eyes. I do not dispute this wisdom, but I have studied the conditions of the eye that many can not be prevented with vitamins alone. For example, most patients who suffer from styes and chalazion not know about natural treatments for common ailments the eye. Fortunately, there are several ways to make you more comfortable as you wait for eye problems to run its course.
Lumps the eyelids
Although the treatment of styes and chalazion is similar, are two separate conditions with different causes. Styes are similar to grain bumps on the edge of the eyelid caused by a bacterial infection, usually staphylococcus bacteria. Although rarely serious, can be irritating or painful. Chalazion are larger packages inside the eyelid that results from blocked oil glands. They are often painful, but can cause vision problems if grow large.
The life of a stye is relatively short. Starting as a small pimple on the edge of the eyelids, swells for about three days before it ruptures and drains on its own. You may experience irritation or pain in the stye grows, but often clears up on its own within a week. The evolution a chalazion is more gradual, usually taking place for two to three months. As it grows, it forms a global company under the skin, which may obscure the view. The inflammation may extend into the area around the eye. Like a stye, a chalazion eventually clear up on its own time.
Promote rapid healing
Although both styes and chalazion tend to heal themselves, the process of waiting may be less than pleasant. You can soothe irritation and promote rapid healing by applying warm compresses to the eye area. A soft cloth dampened with warm water is effective, compress but soaking in herbal solutions can do more to relieve inflammation and pain. Make a "tea" of herbs such as stamp Golden, Oregon grape root and leaves of acacia and compress soak in the hot liquid. Apply to eye area for at least 5 minutes, 3 to 6 times per day. This will help to an open rupture naturally stye or clear the sebaceous glands.
Another remedy to relieve the inflammation is a poultice made of grated potato. Place this in the eye and relax for several minutes. You can also relieve itchy and inflamed eyes with another item in the pantry. Coriander seeds Boil all in a cup of water for a rinse the eye that can be used 3 to 4 times per day.
It is very important not to pick or pop a stye or chalazion, as this may aggravate infection or inflammation. Instead, let nature take its course. In the meantime, refrain from wearing makeup or contact lenses, which can irritate the eyes, until you are cured. To prevent these problems from recurring, avoid rubbing your eyes and wash your hands before touching your face to avoid the transfer of infection-causing bacteria in the area. You should also replace makeup at least every 6 months for the bacteria do not have the opportunity to grow.
If you have inflammation chronic eye causing recurrent styes and chalazion, please consult your doctor. If a lump is growing very rapidly, bleeds or does not improve, your doctor should be consulted immediately. Lumps in the eyes are really a nuisance, but with the right natural care can be effectively treated.
